Purchasing Restrictions Removed
To Our Valued Customers,

Temporary Purchasing Parameters Removed!
One year ago, in an effort to meet the needs of as many people as possible, we implemented a temporary purchasing policy limiting the quantity of items allowed for each purchase. We are pleased to announce that we are removing those restrictions!

We are no longer limiting purchases to 4 units of a given item with a maximum of 12 total units per purchase.

Good News About Inventory
In addition to the implementation of purchasing parameters, you may have noticed that our product availability has fluctuated on a weekly basis over the last year. One of the main challenges we’ve faced is a result of important Covid safety protocols affecting the entire supply chain. From manufacturers to packaging to shipping, Covid safety has been a top priority.

We support the efforts that our partners have taken to ensure the safety of their workers, even when it has resulted in slower turnaround times. Another Covid-related challenge has been a higher demand for certain packaging items, including PCR plastic and spray bottles - much of which was redirected to fulfill items like sanitizer and cleaning supplies - have been in low supply.

But, we have good news! We expect that our product availability will continue to increase in the coming months and we look forward to once again offering our full supplement line. We want you to know that we appreciate your patience, understanding, and loyalty during this last year and we are proud to be your choice for mushroom mycelium-based supplements.

Grain Spawn is Available Now and Plug Spawn is Coming Soon!
To Our Valued Customers,

The mycelium is running! We’re pleased to announce that our Grain Spawn is currently available online, and we should be able to keep these key species available for custom order for the foreseeable future.

We’re also happy to announce that our Plug Spawn will be rolling out again this March through June - just in time for Spring inoculations! Sign up now on the product page of your choice to be notified via email when it becomes available.

We’re Moving to a New Warehouse!
Updated October 1 - We're now set up and fully operational in our new warehouse space. Our processing and shipping times have returned to normal for purchases made on our websites. Thank you for your patience while we transitioned!

The wait is over! After more than a year in the planning, we’re moving to a new warehouse facility that allows for greater customization, more efficient use of energy, and adequate space to accommodate our growth. The move will take place during the second week of September.


Temporary Shipping Delays
On September 8th - 11th, we will be transitioning to the new warehouse and we will resume processing and delivering orders from the new location on Thursday, September 17th.

We hope you're finding ways to remain hopeful, happy, and healthy during this time. Our priority has continued to be supporting you and your loved ones during what has been an unpredictable and challenging time. We are doing everything we can to expand our capabilities, including increasing our regular rotation of available supplements and expanding our research efforts surrounding immunity and immune support. Purchasing Parameters⁣
Due to inventory challenges in March and April, we implemented temporary purchasing parameters in an effort to ensure that as many customers as possible could access the supplements they need. While we have kept a weekly rotation of products available for purchase, we have not yet fully replenished our inventory, so the purchasing parameters will remain in place until further notice. ⁣


Inventory⁣
We are working hard to restore a full selection of inventory across the entire Host Defense® product line. Available items can be found on our Shop Available Supplements page. If an item you want to purchase is currently sold out, you can click on the link ‘Notify me when available’ and provide your email address. Once it is back in stock, we’ll send you a notification. We appreciate your patience while we continue to replenish our inventory.⁣

We are currently processing and fulfilling orders within 3 business days. Please see our shipping policy for estimated transit times. Please note that the estimated transit times do not include order processing and fulfillment. We’re All In This Together
To Our Valued Customers,

The last few weeks have been truly unprecedented and have brought about changes to how we operate in nearly every aspect of our business. We have appreciated your patience and understanding as we have experienced inventory shortages, delivery delays, and a shift in operating procedures. As a company, we have responded to this rapidly evolving health crisis by prioritizing the health and safety of our team members, our local community, and our valued customers.


Our Team Members
We have invested in new equipment so that the majority of our staff can work from the safety of their homes. And to ensure the safety of employees still working on-site, we have implemented social distancing standards at our farm, in our warehouse, and in the office. This includes staggering shifts so fewer employees are on-site at a time, and supplying each employee working on-site with PPE. Additionally, we have provided face masks to all employees to support their health and safety both at work and in the community.


Our Local Community
One of our manufacturing partners and personal friend of Paul has pivoted from their usual production to make PPE. We are fortunate to have this resource and have placed an order for 2,500 surgical masks to donate to several local hospitals. The manufacturer has contributed as well, bringing the total number of masks that are going to our local frontline healthcare workers to 4,000.

Plug Spawn and Grain Spawn Temporarily Discontinued

Fungi Perfecti and Host Defense Reopened to Online Purchasing

We are happy to announce that our websites are once again accepting online orders!

Thank you for your patience and understanding as our teams have worked through this challenging time to replenish inventory, all while keeping the health and safety of our employees at the forefront.


Inventory
While we are accepting online orders, there are still some items that remain out of stock. If an item you want to purchase is currently sold out, you can click on the link ‘Notify me when available’ and provide your email address. Once the item is back in stock, you will receive a notification. We appreciate your patience while we work to replenish inventory across the entire product line.


Temporary Purchasing Policy
In an effort to meet the current needs of as many people as possible, we are limiting the quantity of items allowed for each purchase. Until further notice, the following purchasing parameters will be in place:

Fungi Perfecti and Host Defense Remain Operational
To Our Valued Customers,

Many of you may know that our farm, distribution center, and main office are all located in Washington state. In light of the continued spread of COVID-19 and following the advice of many medical experts, our governor has issued a state-wide “stay-at-home” order for the health and safety of everyone here.

As part of this order, under the categories of Agriculture and Dietary Supplements, Fungi Perfecti/Host Defense is considered an essential business for the vital support we offer our customers. Due to this designation, our company will remain operational in order to provide essential products and services.

While we will remain open during the two-week “stay-at-home” order, we have taken the following steps to ensure that we minimize the risk of spreading the virus:
  • Employees who are sick are expected to remain home
  • All employees were given additional sick time to ensure a broad coverage of support
  • Additional sanitizing protocols have been implemented
  • Employees who are able to work from home are doing so
Please note that our hours of operation are occasionally going to be limited as we work to process a heavy backlog of orders. This will affect the availability of our customer service team to answer phones and will create a delay in email response times.

Temporary Closure of Our Online Store
To Our Valued Customers,

First and foremost, we want to thank you for your patience while we experience inventory shortages across the Host Defense® supplement line. We also want to take this opportunity to address some of the questions you may have regarding our product availability and the current processing and delivery times for orders that have been placed.


Out of Stock
We are currently out of stock on many capsules, extracts, and powders. Due to our inventory shortages, we have temporarily stopped accepting orders on our website. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.

When an item is out of stock, a link will appear on the product page that says “Notify me when available.” Please click on that link and provide your email address if you want to receive a notification once it is back in stock.

Another option is to use our store locator to find a retailer near you that carries Host Defense supplements. Just make sure to contact the retailer directly to check for availability. Many of our retail partners are also experiencing a surge in sales and inventory shortages.

Please note that our customer service team is not able to offer any additional information regarding inventory replenishment timelines or retailer locations and availability. There may also be days when our hours of operation will be limited, affecting the ability of our customer service team to answer calls and respond to emails. We appreciate your understanding.


Existing Orders
If you have already placed an order, you will receive it. Please note that due to the unexpected volume, order processing and delivery times are currently delayed by at least 7 business days.

If there is a back-ordered product in your order, we will notify you directly via email with your options.


Changes to Existing Orders
Unfortunately, we are not able to make adjustments to or cancel orders that have already been received and processed.

If you need to update your Ship-to Address, please contact the shipping carrier. Simply provide them with the package tracking number and the new delivery information.

To return an unwanted order, you have two options:
  • Contact the shipping carrier with the tracking number and notify them that you would like to refuse the order, or
  • Write “Return to Sender” on the box once it is received
Once we receive the returned product, we will refund you in full.
